Lauren Wehr
Lauren joined the Heartland team as the Marketing & Development Director in January 2024. A Nebraska native, she grew up in Omaha before attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management, along with a minor in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication. Lauren's dedication to serving nonprofits began as a young volunteer for various organizations before shifting into a career in nonprofit fundraising.
Beyond her professional work, Lauren finds joy in spending quality time with her family and getting outdoors, whether walking her dog, swimming, or gardening. Lauren and her husband, Aron, made Siouxland their home in 2023, and they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first baby in 2024.
