Board of Directors

Katie Towler is the Executive Director of the South Sioux City Extended Campus for Northeast Community College, where she works to extend the mission of the college to those in the South Sioux City region. Katie holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Iowa, a master's degree in school counseling from the University of Phoenix- Denver, and an educational specialist degree from the University of South Dakota. Prior to her time at Northeast Community College, Katie served students in Sioux City as a school counselor and principal for a combined 20 years.  Katie's passion for serving the traditionally underserved is continued through her work on the MRHD board and as a volunteer with the Norm Waitt YMCA.
