Melinda Hoogland, MSE, PLMHP, PLADC
Melinda began her Heartland journey in January 2021 as an undergraduate intern at the Life Center while completing her bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Social Sciences at Wayne State College. She became a Community Support Provider in July 2022 while pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduating, Melinda served as a contracted therapist from January 2025 to January 2026. In February 2026, she transitioned into her current role as an outpatient therapist for Heartland at the South Sioux City office.
Melinda is also a substance use counselor in Nebraska and is licensed to provide mental health services in both Nebraska and Iowa. Outside of work, she has been married for nearly 33 years and is the proud mother of three daughters. She enjoys life with her pets and “grandpets” and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of twin grandbabies in May.
